I have NO Idea what the heck this coin is!!!! It looks just like the 1849-1854 1 dollar gold coins. The (heads) side is exactly the same(lady liberty head with 13 stars arround it), but ist the reverse (tails side) that is intriguing! It says "united states of america" arround the edge, and at the verry bottom it says "one D" (obviously for the denomination - 1 dollar. In the middle is an eagle with its wings spread all the way to the edges holding in its tallons 3 arrows, and an olive branch. BUT THERE IS NO DATE ANYWHERE!!!!

    - I tried using a magnet to see if it stuck, And It did NOT interact with the magnet at all..... NADA....So that tells me its not a steel fake

-I measured it and its exactly 13 MM in Diameter.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

And i know they lack luster, but I had to significantly reduce the quality in order to get the pic on the post.... They look very nice in person, but well worn....

    scottishmoney Buh bye

German in origin, probably a spielmarke or reckoning piece. Lots of these were made in the late 19th century by firms such as Lauer and sold into British and N. American markets for gaming etc.
