Why is this dime awesome? Notice that... 1. On the reverse, the letter "E" in "ONE" and "DIME" have both been stamped as an "F" reading as "ONF DIMF". 2. The word "DIME" is shadowed/blown up/doubled under where it has been stamped. 3. The ending letter "S" in "STATES" on the reverse is deformed looking more like a "J" reading as "STATEJ". 4. The lower set of bands on the torch were not stamped on it. 5. The last two numbers on the date are struck very weak, and the "P" mintmark looks more like a "D". 6. It is the size of a nickel. What do y'all think? Cool or ho-hum?
Vert nice!! Looks broad struck. A really nice example I might add. How did you come across this if i may ask?
It not intentionally stamped as an F.. It's an E that was distorted because of the Striking error Here is one that I own from my collection -
Broadstruck. In my father's day, that would have been any coin struck while the press was being monitored by a female attendant. And no one objected to that language.
I have seen a few of the ones I posted. Never seen one missing the band lines. I can't tell... Are both band lines on the torch?
It's my cell. I've tried s few tjongs but nothing works. It gets stuck and when it unfreezes, multiplies. A recent problem on my fairly new cell phone..

Are you near a cell dead spot? I used to get ALL KINDS of double posts when I was RIDING the Keystone train daily, instead of hearing its departure whistle.
Poor reception at times. Last few days has been really bad. I can give new meaning to the term rural.
