    Hey guys,

So because my bank has required us to roll coin to return it and removed their coin counters, and quite frankly I'm lazy, I'm wondering if you guys know of any good automatic coin rollers that I could use to re-roll coin if I choose to buy and go through boxes at a time. I'd like to go cheap, but if I cant find one that is quality for a low price, I'm willing to spend some more. Also, if there are manual ones that are fairly efficient, I'm willing to go that route as well.

    Thanks in advance,

With these machines.. don't you still have to manually count the coins? I think they just crimp the paper rolls. I would not waste my money.
Unless my statement is incorrect :wideyed:

Edit* I just took a look at the ebay item and saw that they automatically count the coins and separate them.. cool

When they got rid of the counting machines near me, that pretty much meant the end of my cent/nickel/dime days as I find those the toughest to re-roll. I still do halves when I can get them, and I just pop the coins back into a fresh roll once I've looked through them, that way I don't have to count them.

That's what I do for all denominations. I haven't hunted through Cents much lately, but the dimes are a little tricky to drop into the MWR. I put my pinky in the nickel rolls and guide them down. The rest are a bit easier. I actually had a teller tell me "the manager doesn't want me to take back opened Loomis rolls" so I dump at another bank and bring their stringer rolls. I'm cheap lol and want to continue this endeavor as cheap as possible.

  7. I'm cheap. I reuse the rolls they came out of. Most are easy enough to slide out. I've not done dimes so I may be wrong about those. Some cent one are really tight in which case I'm willing to lose %11 in a coinstar rather than buy wrappers

Perhaps the bank would sell or give you the coin wrappers. Most banks had gone to shot gun type tubes. Then they stuck them in a crimper to close the end. Good luck.

On rewrapping method or why I'm bringing the same coins back?

I had to start a savings account at a different bank, due to the removal of my regular banks counting machine.

Why not excepting loomis rolls is my question

Its just one teller, the hood rat that made it to the county. The excuse was customers come in and ask for new rolls from Loomis. I asked what am I. She said business customers ask for them because they always have the correct count. I just stared at her until one of the other tellers noticed and said she'd take care of me. My fix was, just in case I have the misfortune of dealing with the hood rat, I drop string and sons or CWR there now. Eh, ya can't please everyone all the time. So, now, ALL the other tellers at that branch get chocolate.

So I felt like bumping my own topic to see what people think. I can get pre-formed wrappers for pretty cheap. I just wanna see what people think about automatic coin sorters since Wells Fargo stopped accepting non-rolled coin. I am planning on getting a royal sovereign but if there's a better alternative for the money...

    Any help is appreciated

I went to a coinstar with $60 worth of change, $50 of that pennies. It took me less than 10 minutes, plus I got a free silver dime someone left on the shelf. I used the Amazon gift card option--there is no fee and we buy a lot from Amazon. That's my future plan until Coinstar stops doing free coin counting.

eta: Yeah, thinking more on it, it's not really feasible for anything over pennies. I can spend $60 on Amazon without thinking about it, $500 might be a bit of a stretch...
