Are there any Michael Jordan silver coins that are worth collecting?

This is a bit off topic from the norm around here, but are there any Michael Jordan silver coins that are worth collecting?

I see a lot for sale online, but I'm wondering if some are more collectible than others. I have a binder full of Jordan cards when cards were huge hit in the 1990's, but I haven't collected since. I'm more focused on coins but I'm still drawn to MJ and basketball as a fan. I think that MJ silver coins would be a good change of pace.

    Thanks in advance!

EDIT: By "worth collecting" I mean are there coins that are more reputable than others. And, I don't mean government minted coins for legal tender, but rather by reputable third parties that create coins for collectors and hobbyists.

Follow the "collect what you like" advice to decide whether they're collectible. If you're trying to find out if there are any that are a good investment, I'd say there probably aren't.

I never heard of these (Jordan) thingos before but 'Google' was my friend......I found them for sale on a couple of sites. :)

It's your collection (OP) so collect what you like. If you plan on investing in these, though, I would advise caution. Since most of what I saw was 1 oz. silver rounds if (or when) you go to sell most dealers are only going to give you spot. Nice looking 'rounds' though. Have fun collecting them.......:)

Personal opinion, NO. First question: Are there actually coins with Michael Jordan on them? Second question: If there are, Why?

By "worth collecting" I mean are there coins that are better than others, made officially with a license? For example, Upper Deck makes cards and I believe they make a higher quality coin. If say, the Franklin Mint were to make a coin, it probably would not be as good.

Upper Deck does not make coins, neither does the Franklin Mint. They may have someone produce a silver round that they sell, but they aren't coins. (And if the Franklin Mint were still making coins or rounds like they used to instead of selling stuff made by others, they would probably be top quality.)

I tried this crazy new contraption called "google" and was quickly able to find one at least claiming to be authorized. I bet if you tried it, you might come up with something as well... ;)

It seems to me that what you're interested in is well within the novelty category, so I wouldn't worry a great deal about the likely trivial as long as you buy what you like, and are not paying ridiculous premiums.

I tried Google but there are many different "authentic" and "official" silver MJ rounds. I wanted to see if I should stick with the ones sold and labeled by popular sports card brands (e.g. Upper Deck), or if there are other reputable vendors for the silver rounds.

And, I'm trying to buy some of these as close to spot price as possible, so I don't think it'll be too bad a purchase.
