I have LOTS of Jefferson Nickels in these years that I've kept afraid that I don't know what to look for and thinking I may get rid of something not knowing what it is. I'm wanting to weed through them and was wondering what I should look for in these?

Does anyone else keep these years just to keep them?

    I also have a bag of 70's and 80's

42-46 are war nickels and have silver in 'em. I keep all 55 and before. If noone puts cherrypickers list 4 u, I will later.

Thanks Noost! You are always so helpful! I'm trying to figure out what is worth saving. I probably have about $50 of nickels here that I'm trying to decide on.

Sorry Darryl, I thank God that so far my job seems to be secure. The bank that I work at has been locally owned since 1872 and is still running strong. Unemployment now pays through a Visa debit card and you'd be amazed at how many more people are coming in with those now for cash advances off of them.

I think you mean some of 42-45 not 46. I keep everything before 60 when it comes to nickels. Also have a 38-61 littleton folder so I got the 60 and 61 p and d as well.
