I ran across a few on google search last night, but before I start cracking open mint rolls to sell off a few sets, I'd like to know if there's anything worth searching for. I'd hate to give away the shop
I think the Mint has done a good job on National Park quarters. Major errors are extremely rare for the series. Most are die breaks and MAD (misaligned die strikes). Better chance to look for high MS-grade pieces.
Your chances of finding a MS-68 in rolls is almost non existent. Then you have to have an error. And not importantly, you need a buyer and to get one at the right price, well, best wishes. Enjoy the hobby for what it is, fun.
I'm talking US Mint wrapped rolls. What are the odds of finding MS-68's there? I have every P,D,S they ever produced to date. Can't wait to be done with this set by early next year. 11 years is too long is you ask me.
Mint sets and mint rolls are too expensive. I always bought the $250 bags of SQ's, and I submitted a bunch to NGC that came back MS68. I came out waaaaaaaaaay ahead of the game over the 10-year program.

There is not really a comprehensive list that I know of. That is why, in-part I always have such a hard time going through quarter rolls from the bank quickly. Each design has a different location for doubling, and so forth. Some websites I use for varieties: doubleddie.com, varietyvista.com, cuds-on-coins.com. They are good but if you really want to go through each site and look for everything they list it will be very time consuming. Sometimes I find collar clashes on national park quarters, so maybe keep an eye out for those. I have considered making a list before but have never actually started.
Glad to hear I'm not totally off-base! Sometimes I wonder with all the effort it takes to check every coin. It is a rewarding process, though.
