They sell 1oz Silver Medallions (Silver Rounds). The retail cost is $99.99. I found a dealer who had two and I got a Polar Bear one for $50 (daughter who likes Polar Bears). I do not see that one on the website. I guess it's half of the from-the-mint price, but it's still way over spot. If there's a decent market for Alaska Mint products, then good for you. But I'm not so sure there is.
At 2-3x spot I only see me getting the one above myself. I do like knowing about all the private mints. I know I do not know of all the small private Mints.
Of course, people broke their necks to pay 6-8X and more over spot for silver eagles last year, so 2-3X over isn't bad at all if you like the coin. Guy
People really pay 6-8X and more over spot for silver eagles last year? I will pay up to 2x SPOT if I like a bullion coin or silver round. I just use 2x as my standard.
