    Hello All,

Looking for opinions on this 2023-D nickel I pulled from full rolls of 2023-D. It's the only one like it in the 5 rolls I've searched so far. Macroscopically, everything looks soft with a very low luster. Microscopically, the surface almost looks pitted or wavy. Because this came from a full roll of 2023-D, it's likely the first time it's been touched since leaving the mint so PMD seems unlikely. I very much appreciate any insight you are willing to share.

    Thanks Again,
    John

Die Deterioration issue. Worn Die strike.
    Neat but nothing major.

I have pulled a few from circulation and haven't come across any as deteriorated as that one.

Very cool! Appreciate the feedback. I'll definitely be flipping this up for the collection.
