2021 Roosevelt Dime-Spike Head & Rim Errors?

Hi guys,

I have this 2021 P Roosevelt Dime and see that there is a spike head and die chips on this dime but would like to know what is happening with the rim. What type of error is on the rim?

I notice that a lot of the 2021 Roosevelt Dimes have these rim issues. Can someone please explain why?

Tis a die crack. Meow read this post hoping it would be about 2021 d dimes, as Meow just got a box of those in paw. And was hoping there would be a variety for Meow to hunt for. But alas, d mints seem to have much better quality control over p mints. Unfortunately Meow does not get p mints where Meow resides.

 

Just wished the Denver mint made as much boo boos as the Philly mint. Would make for so much better CRH for Meow.

 

So what is happening with the rim? Why is there copper on the rims, splits, cracks and fold overs on the rim?

 

Meow forgets what that was called. But it is not a rare occurrence.
