I have a 2018 D nickle that seems to be stamped on a penny? Has anyone e heard of an error like this? Please be nice I'm still learning. Thanks
I'm still learning too but looks like a normal nickel to me with lots of pmd. I could be wrong. Maybe the experts will say different.
Hi, it's actually environmentally damaged which gave it the brown color. If it was minted on a cent planchet it would weigh 2.5 grams and if it is a damage nickel it will weigh 5 grams.
Nickel not nickle Nickel is made of cupronickel. Meaning it contains copper. You have a environmentally toned cupronickel nickel. Not a mint error. And.. coins are NOT PRINTED
It can happen but when it does, the outer devices are truncated and the rim missing. Your specimen has both and as noted, suffers from environmental toning.
As mentioned, this is merely environmental damage. The nickel is discolored, that's all. And also as mentioned, coins are struck, not "printed". So... sorry, not this time. Keep looking, though!
Just shows you the attention errors are getting these days. Everybody who's anybody is looking for it, now, the fast buck.
Well eddiespin, I certainly am not looking for the fast buck...Nope. I am 100 percent looking for the MEGABUCK !!....Ohh Yeah....Every day
Joe, I gave up gambling a long time ago and now only make mind bets. That way the only thing I could lose is my mind.
Well......I got my fingers crossed that You will NEVER lose your mind...Ohh No! You don't need that to happen!!
