2016 Shawnee quarter lamination or struck?

Good morning everyone. I soaked this with soap for three hours and scrubbed it but still there. Is this lamination or damage? I need help thank you all so much…❤️

If it wasn't damaged before you scrubbed it with soap, it is now! It's no big deal because it looks like environmental damage anyway.

 

I agree with Chris. Environmental damage or maybe a bit of solder/flux damage. Make sure that you don’t alter a coin that could be a true error. Many a great coin has been reduced from cleaning.

Afraid it’s damaged Mari. Any soaking and scrubbing will make it worse. Soap is abrasive, even liquid soap.

 

Be careful about buying error coins from someone!!! It's easy to be taken advantage of if you don't know what you're buying!!!
