This is a circulated 2013 P Perry's victory with a chip on his left shoulder I only hope the new collectors and look forward to finding coins like this in their change enjoy the photos
I received one just like yours in change a couple years ago when they first came out. I always wondered if there are others out there. Thanks for sharing.
I never researched it to see if it is a known error. I showed it to a dealer and he said I should send it to Wexler or somebody and maybe I can get it certified as a discovery piece. But now that I have seen yours I think that maybe it isn't unique and there are others out there. If it was a chip in the die there must be many like it?
Sir I have to agree with you so far I have found just this one or a few in circulation around here ones I've been examined have found hardly any flaws except for bag marks found another one with the start of the chip on the shoulder barely, hard time photographing that one all I can say to us coin hounds keep looking I would suggest if you want some kind of authentication and possibly a listing send it to cuds on coins RJ Neff in most cases you do not have to send in the coin just the appropriate photographs. Have not personally sent this one into him, and one of my coins he requested I send it personally in to him for his examination I'm in the process of doing that now, Wexler only handles doubling and charges you for his opinion whether you're coin makes the list are not. And Mr. Neff will tell you he prefers cuds but will examine other types of errors and like I said all you have to do is send photographs and no (fee) you can check out his cuds on coin website it give you the submission information and email address since I am busy with a couple of coins being sent into cuds on coins for examination and already have one listing their, please take the opportunity and send the photos in good luck I will say he is picky about his non-cude listings and like I said at this time he does not charge a (fee)
Thanks for that information. Interesting that you found another with perhaps an earlier die state. Unfortunately I have an ancient computer with dial up. I used to be able to post photos but my server snet.net was taken over by Frontier and now I can't post pictures.
What a bummer, in that case maybe a friend can give you a hand that has adequate Internet service I know some friends of mine who live in the boonies has the same problem. All we can do is the best with what we have to work with do you have the ability to take photos ? If so you can put them on a flash drive and if you have a library in your area that would be a good place to send coins on cuds.com the photos just a couple of ideas that may help if you actually think it's worth your time.
Thanks. I already have pics of the coin stored on my Kodak ez share program. I also have a flash drive my brother gave me. But I have no idea how to do it.
Been there, when I have problems like that I usually call up my first ex-wife she's pretty good on computer but I try avoid that the only way I know is what I call redneck computing if it works go with it. I've had computer technicians asked me how I did something and I just tell him it's the redneck way if it works do it they say I've never seen it done that way oh well it works in short I'm happy if I press a button and my computer comes on good luck on your quest.PS since your brother gave you the flash drive maybe he can give you a hand only a thought
You have two ex-wives? I do too, lol. I went on John Wexler's website; he does take submissions for authentication.
Sir I actually had 2 1/2 and yes Wexler does do authentications I wish I had the computer knowledge to post an email that I received from him on a coin submitted to him his email explains that he authenticates doubling and that this coin would not be one that he would authenticate and the ones that have doubling he wants a fee for his authentication I personally am not gonna spend $30 to send him a coin for his seal of approval. I will take that $30 and spend it on food medication and my doctor bills thank you for your comment I will wait for your post on what do I mean by a half
Well of course I'm curious as to what a half ex-wife is. I know what a half arsed wife is. Wexler is a well known expert. He writes for Coin World. Mostly lately he has been posting doubled die 2015 Lincoln cents.
What I consider a half wife is one that I was engaged to get married to, but she had too many unresolved issues with her ex-husband and I was unwilling to assume his bills to she was still liable for, I was not willing to accept that financial burden thus half wife without all the paperwork for her actually being my wife would've been a big mistake sir have a nice day
Well Victor at least we know where there is another one, it's listed under interior die brakes in cuds on coins \V/
