I have been searching the net for days trying to find any known errors for 2013 Fort McHenry Quarters so I could look for them too since I got a full box of nothing but those quarters. So far I have found die crack errors, and possibly machine doubling, and few reeding mechanical errors. My question is with these pictures...do these quarter supposed to look like this ??? Because every single one I have opened so far is like that, some have differences on how bad they are. Please help! Also does anyone know where I can go to find any known errors for Fort Mchenry? Google didnt help
Welcome to the forum. This looks like Die Deterioration Doubling and is not the desirable kind worth a premium. Here is an informative thread on the various forms of doubling: http://www.cointalk.com/threads/learn-about-die-doubling.4446/ Good luck in your searching!
Thanks ! and you dont think this is ejection doubling ? or is that the same thing? thanks for your help!
Power is around 180-190x I have a silver half dollar and this is what it looks like, not all of the letters look like that, would this be projection die error? The letters DOLLAR look like this, while AMERICA thats on the right does not. You can see the doubling on the leaves, tho not on all of them.
