image.jpg Wanted to find out if this was caused by wear. No E in IGWT also there is a small raised line on left of A in America. Reverse there is a dot in middle of 0 in year 2010. I also noticed raised small dots in lake.

The missing E is due to the coin being struck through grease. The dots are die chips/gouges. Neat but not really rare.

Thanks at least now I know it was caused by wear.

Nice! I actually haven't seen a single ATB Quarter struck through any type of grease yet, and I've seen a LOT of ATB's.
And the raised areas aren't caused by post-mint wear, but rather wear of the dies themselves.

Jay pretty much hit it on the head, IMO.

The missing E is not from wear. They polish the dies at the mint. Some of the grease used to polish got trapped in the E. When the coin was squeezed, the metal couldn't flow into the E due to the trapped grease. I haven't seen a ton of ATB's, but I haven't ran into a struck through either. I know there is no premium on minor struck throughs, but I think they are kind of cool and I put them back just in case.
