that depends purley on how many are made/bought if and when they start makign them. If they dont make them, the questions is moot. If they do make them, and then proceed to sell 15 million of them, then no, the W most likely wont command a premium. If you looking for a quick buck on buying and flipping, then this might not be the coin to do it with since nobodys certain they will ever make the W eagle
No. The 2009w ASEs will almost certainly command a premium, if they get around to making them. It is almost inconceivable that they will be sold in the same numbers as the regular uncirculated coins.
I agree i was more playing devils advocate and looking at both sides of the question 'IF' they make them, i would assume they would sell for more. I do hope they make them i hate having holes in my collection! (and boy do i have alot of them!)
2009 uncirculated 5 piece set? The 2009 5 piece uncirculated dollar set is dependant on the 2009 W silver eagle. I have some of the 2007 & 2008 sets and i hope they continue. The sets contain each of the four uncirculated presidential dollars, plus the W silver eagle.
Could be completely wrong here but....... I believe that all the ASEs are now minted at West Point, but there are those without the W that are considered "bullion" and the ones with the W are the burnished blanks that are "collector" uncs. That is why in the Red Book, you see both (W) and W next to the dates. Both imply that they were both minted at West Point, but only one has the mintmark. And that is why your Monster Green Box says West Point.
Hey, even if the mint does make 'em they probably won't ship 'em for another year. (Judging by the way they were "on top" of the Braille Commemorative.)
I a way, I hope they stop making them so I can "finish" the collection. I like short sets. I have other things now that I'd rather buy, but I intend to purchase the w mint ASEs as long as they make them.
2009 set? I thought i seen it on the product schedule earlier in the year. The mint does'nt have all of their sets listed now on this schedule. Even the new 5 piece lincoln set is not listed at this time.
