Sorry for the funny title, let me know if i need to change it for appropriateness... This is the most interesting thing I've found to date. the back is fairly normal, aside from apparent oil or grease on the die... But, on the front, as indicated in the second pic, a strikethrough? error gives Jefferson a beard of sorts, and then on the chin, theres a protrusion, not an indention, which actually has 2 levels of thickness and then on the upper nose, another protrusion. here ive traced out the obvious things, not sure if anything else is there Here is the rear, seems normal enough to me As i am using a scanner for this, i raised one side off the glass to get a bit more shadow definition on the front If anyone wants me to actualy use a cam, a friend has a really nice one and i could get a pic done in a couple of days prolly.. so what are these errors called, and does it have any value beyond novelty?
Looks like struck through grease and possible die chips on the chin. Don't know what the problem with the new design is but I find quite a few of the forward looking nickels with these problems. Don't believe there is any premium.
