hello all, i need some advice on a value on a $20 note i found last week. first the serial # is 00244128*, upper right corner is D406, upper left corner under the serial # is E-5, bottom left is D3. is this note worth any more than $20? it has a minor fold down the middle, but other than that its in really good light circulated condition. any info would help. thank guys and gals. also is 244128 a low run of this bill?
All 2006 $20 Star notes start with 2 letters, IA,IE,IF,IG,IK, or IL. What is the entire serial number, and do you have a photo to help in determining centering ?
The 2006 $20 note, IE00244128*, is from a large run of almost 2.5 Million notes. Some of the CT Forum members keep all of the Star notes they find, regardless of condition or value. Personally, I would not keep it, and selling it on a venue like eBay may or may not leave you with any profit after paying PayPal and eBay fees. Keep it if you're a casual collector....it's only $20.
with such a high run of 2.5 mil. is it not more valueable with such a low number of 244128? or it doesnt matter?
Most collectors consider 0000XXXX or lower as a low serial number. Double zero starts are not what I would consider low. These are low serial numbered $20's...
