I finally found my very own example of this over-polished die!

Hope there's more of the out there. If there is, maybe it can catch on like other error coins and maybe I'll be able to find one.

Don't wait for it to catch on, go find one and post it! That will make it more popular. Better get started because I am still looking for more.

Of course there's more out there.

Every coin struck from that die will
    have the Detached Leg variety.

Could be 10,000 to 100,000 of 'em out there.,

Ah, this coin reminds me of the time (true story I am told :smug:) a tractor salesman is walking across a barnyard to find the farmer and notices a pig with a wooden leg. He thinks this is curious. When he knocks on the door, the farmer answers & he proceeds to introduce himself...but then stops asks "I noticed a pig with a wooden leg in your yard, that's very unusual. What's the story?"

The farmer says "hey, let me tell you, that's no ordinary pig! One day I was out plowing a field & my tractor fell over in a ditch, pinning me to the ground. That pig came over, dug underneath me & pulled me out, saved my life. Then about a week later, in the middle of the night, we had a fire in the house. That pig came to our rear bedroom window & awakened my wife & I...saved our lives."

The salesman says "Well those are great stories, but it still doesn't answer why the pig has a wooden leg!"

The farmer looks at him with a weird expression and says....."Are you kidding me...a great pig like that?....you don't eat him all at once!" :D:D:D

For a coin reference, envision a United Kingdom coin with a pig on the reverse, I think it's a farthing or pence...or post one if you have one.

@SlipperySocks, sorry about hijacking this thread!:happy::happy:

No worries. Always room for a good pig joke!

I would like to see pictures of that LOL.

  11. Been looking for a spearhead buffalo. Found none. Now I have to check all of them looking for a detached leg. If I find one will post picture.

  12. Auto correct should be speared buffalo not spearhead.

I am looking too. Don't forget about the 2005P clashed buffalo and the DDO.
