Opinions wanted. After searching 10 mint rolls of "Ocean View" nickels, I found a roll of, what appears to be, double leaves. Normally, would normally attribute this to machine doubling, but leaves are developed, and not just MD stamped. Opinions appreciated. Included pics of normal and "variation" trees

It's a little blurry when I try to enlarge it, but it looks like strike doubling to me - flat and shelf-like.

I thought the same at first, but, the under-leaves are as thick as the top, with rounded edges, and I had an entire roll of the same, causing me to think it's more a variation or error rather than MD. I should probably show them to an expert.

Did you check the CONECA site for any listings?

Definitely looks like MDD or perhaps worn die doubling since the Horizon appears to be included in the doubling.

Clearer pictures would be of greater value.

    I'd say MDD also.
