I'm not a big coin collector, but I recently received this quarter from my office's vending machine. It stood out like a sore thumb, so I thought I might have something that was worth more than $0.25. The coin appears to be stamped off-center, with part of the lettering on both sides cut off. In addition to that, there are no ridges on edge of the quarter. I have attached some pictures. Does anybody have an idea what it might be worth?

Welcome to the forum, and yes, that is an off center quarter.

    as for value?

I'll let one of our more learned posters posit on that.

Welccome to CoinTalk. You'll learn a lot here.

Nice find. I'm surprised someone hadn't pulled that one out of circulation earlier. It must have been sitting in someones coin jar until now. Cool coin.

And ungraded maybe $30.00 (And to get it into a PCGS mint error slab will cost at least $40 plus shipping and insurance both ways.)
