It's the last set I need (for Now) . I have been waiting and watching them drop..
Still near 200.00 .. You think It will keep dropping? Much?
I dont think it will get too much cheaper..

Personally I think its still way over valued. I would say a price for this should be in the 75-90 range. But, thats me using simple mintage logic based on the 2001 set pricing which I also think is a bit high.

I agree.. Both sets are too high..But I Don't see it going much farther down soon.. Now !00.00 .. That would be good.

At one point the '99 sets were over $400. I once sold a set to a member here for $275 and they thought they got the bargain of a lifetime. The sets were $350 and climbing at the time. It wasn't until 2 or 3 years later that they began to drop and have been dropping ever since.

This happens often with some modern isues. They climb in price for a few years and then drop back to a much more reasonable level.

They used to be sky high. I sold all the ones I had around 2-3 years ago, except for one set, which is in the box with all the rest of my Silver Proof Sets. I could be mistaken, but it seems like I got close to $500 per set on my 1999 Silver Proof Sets. Back then, they kept going up and up, and I think people were hoarding them, then when they took their profits they came back down to earth. If memory hasn't completely failed me, the 2001 was the next highest after the 1999.

    Red Book Values

There's one other in the red book that tops the 1999 silver set and that the 1996 Prestige set.I have the years before and after directly from the mint, but as luck would have it,I didn't buy anything that year.Must of been because someone mention to me US Mint coin sets don't do well.

Do you believe this to be the case with the 2008 SAE with a 2007 reverse?(Should I have started a new post?)

I believe the 2006 Anniversary ASE Set will be of the same price decline , but seem to have stabilize at about $250. Haven't seen much on the ASE Reverse coin, was still at about $450, last I looked.
