1999 NJ Quarter Strike thru grease error?

    Hi guys,

    I have this 1999 P New Jersey Quarter and see that more than half of the letters are missing on the words "CROSSROADS" on the reverse. Is this considered a strike thru grease error??

    Looks good to me nice find very common on state quarters to bad its beat to death.

    Although quite beat up, it does appear that the missing letters were a filled die. No indication they were ever there.
