That's a Wide AM for sure. The M is evenly spaced between the A and the E. In a close AM the A is almost touching the M BTW.. No Mint Mark means it was minted at the Philadelphia Mint.
Nope, that is the normal reverse Wide AM cent. the letters are evenly spaced. Picture from PCGS website, your is the top, the wide AM normal reverse, the one you are looking for is the bottom picture, note how the A and M are almost touching and there's a tiny bit more space between the M and E, it doesn't looks well spaced out. Hope this helps you to identify. Also the FG is further off the lincoln memorial on the close AM, and the G is very "plain", no foot on the vertical stem of the G or inward curl at the top of that vertical stem. Hope this helps, I will say, when you find one and have it in hand, you'll know it instantly after looking at all the normal wide AM reverses. you'll see it and KNOW somethings up.
And to add one more thing If you want coins to compare: 1988 - 1991 P and D cents should all have Wide AM reverses. 1993-1997 P and D cents should all have Close AM reverses. the 1992 CAM and WAM is a result of a reverse die transition, the 1992 SHOULD all be WAM, but some were struck with the new reverse die for 1993 onward with the CAM. If I am wrong on this, anyone feel free to correct me. just trying to help. this link for variety vista may also help you distinguish the memorial reverse dies. http://www.varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/Memorial Reverse Design Varieties.htm
