Hey guys i am new to all of this and i have been trying to collect coins for the past month but have had very little luck, finally today i think i got something but im not sure. I found a 1984 quarter that looks like it has been off centered or off struck whatever the term is. Also the edge of it is smooth like a penny is, not like a normal quarter no ridges. Picture is below. I would like to know your opinions and if it is an error coin, how much could it fetch?

I also found a penny from 1964 that looks very used but the numbers on the date are all good except for the 4, it looks like a different 4 than i have seen on all other pennies...the top of the 4 is there and then there is a diagonal line to the side of it which looks like it shouldve been the rest of it. I dont know haha, help please =)

The quarter does look off center. The Cent is damaged by a coin wrapper. If you note the damage on the 4 the line that runs through it is parallel to the rim. a good indicator of what this was.

    Ditto.

The quarter is an off-center strike. Might be worth $3 or $4 to the right buyer.

Since the design is complete on both faces, the proper diagnosis for the quarter is an uncentered broadstrike.

I sold a nice off-center quarter for 30 bucks once.

The price is determined by how much off center it is. Minor ones get very little money.

Also check the completed auctions and compare yours to ones that actually sold. Some sellers ask high dollars for their items but they are only worth that when they actually sell.

I have a 1984 quarter with I believe a P over D mint as well as off strike on the edge obverse. On the reverse side it looks like the last A in America is too far and the U in United too close , can I get some opinions??
