I have a 1982 penny with no mint mark. I believe it copper and on both side on top of every E there is a slight bulge or curve and they seen to be smaller then any other E on any penny u have seen. What could it be worth?
1 cent ? read this thread .. has the info you need about the 1982 ==> https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1982-lincoln-cents.319211/#post-3122651 Also crisp (non-fuzzy) images of your cent would help. Pictures are worth a thousand words.
@James Keller No mint mark means it was minted at the Philadelphia Mint. They didn't use the P mint mark on the Cent until last year 2017 and only for that year. The issue in the letter E sounds like a worn die strike. @furryfrog02 - yes! 1 Cent
Keep them all until you have time to go through all of them and find any errors or other items you may want to search for. Weight the 82's and 83's and ohhhh the fun you can have!!!!!!
While 2 1982-D small date copper cents have surfaced (out of billions) it's really not practical to even look for it, despite what You Tube coin videos say. That being said, there have been more off metal 1983 cents (copper 3.1 grams, instead of zinc 2.5 grams) found, and it's easy just to weigh them, and then put them in the spend pile.
First, welcome to Coin Talk! Second, if you have something you want help with it is suggested that you start a new thread by itself. You don't want to hijack another thread and the likely hood that you will get your question answered well is even better! Photos are needed to help with your question so start your own thread, post good photos and we'll go from there.
Without photos, it doesn't exist so it's worth nothing. As Bambam said, start your own post with good photos.
I have what seems to be a silver, no mint mark, Lincoln penny. I used a magnet and it sticks to it. Is it worth anything?
You have posted on a year old thread. Start your own new thread with clear in focus photos and you will get more views and replies
No way! You found a coin with no mintmark??? Sell it on etsy for $1250! (JK, actually don't. It's worth one cent. Not supposed to have a mint mark) https://www.etsy.com/listing/858577...f=sr_gallery-1-7&organic_search_click=1&frs=1 No mintmark coins are made in Philadelphia. They were made that way.
