I would like to know the value, if any, on this 1981 The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana commemorative coin. From what I've read it isn't very valuable, but I came across statements saying that there were some minted in silver. Is this a silver version? How would you know if this were the silver version? To add to potential value, it has slight toning, but the toning is invisible in the pictures. If possible, I'd like the value in USD please.

I keep finding the prices in British pounds and such, and I can't seem to find a program that switches it to USD.

Yes, there is a silver (Ag 925) version ... judging from the "color" of your coin, however, I'd say that is the Cu-Ni version. Unfortunately both versions have the same weight and diameter, so it should be the thickness that is (slightly) different. To convert an amount in a different currency to your local currency, try a service like this one: http://www.xe.com

Thanks for the currency translator. From what I'm finding, it seems to be going for around $1-$1.50. Does $1 for it seem like a completely fair price?

Sounds good. In Britain you might get a little more, but then shipping (US > UK) would be prohibitively expensive. For the US, $1 looks fair ...

The Silver version is beautiful. Too bad it is only worth the silver content value.
