1979 copper nickel?

    Hey there, found this coin a few weeks ago, cant really find anything about it, other than maybe it was struck on a cent planchet. It is the same size as a normal nickel and feels like it weights a little more or less. Heres a few pictures, if theres anything you could tell me it'd be appriciated.

    You should weigh the coin. Nickels weigh 5 grams; cents from that time period weigh 3.1.

    At a glance, it does not appear to be struck on a cent planchet; it's more likely plated.

    No not nickel struch on cent if it were it would be more like this

    Could be dug. The ground does all kinds of goofy things to coins. Or chemically altered some other way. Nothing special though, probably.
