    Hello All,

I found this odd looking Lincoln penny and wanted to see if it was PMD or a legitimate error. I weighed the penny and it came out to 3.1 grams. Thank you.

There was clear blue tape that I tried to take off but unsuccessfully left a bunch that is still covering it and I didn't want to damage it so I left it on.

    What you have is PMD
It's Glue residue and nothing else. The old residue is stuck to the surface of your Cent :(

Other Cents were glued to the Reverse and the Obverse. When the Cents were pulled apart it left the impression of the images of each Cent.
Also, you can see the actual image and letters of your Cent through the glue because it's clear. The Y in LIBERTY for example.

Why this was done? Bored people. We have seen other examples of these Cents on CoinTalk before.

+1 I bet a soak in acetone would cause most of it to come off.
