After doing a ton of research and studying for hours I think that I may have finally found a doubled die coin! It is a damaged coin but would be neat if it were a doubled die.

    Areas to look:
    • Obverse Side- In God We Trust- Looks like doubling on most of the letters, notice the notches at the ends of some secondary images
    • 1975- appears to have die deterioration, possible machine doubling here
    • Face- Nose and mouth have doubling
    • Possible D between 5 and Jefferson but this could just be damage
    • Reverse side- Shows either die deterioration or machine doubling on bottom of building under steps
    • Cents- doubling on the 'T' and 'S'
    • America- possible doubling on M
I would love to hear feedback on this one. I am hoping that I found a true doubled die. I keep finding die deterioration and machine doubling. If this is the real thing then it would be my first. Parts of it look like machine doubling however, parts look like a true doubled die. It's still hard for me to tell. I don't have the cherry pickers guide yet and haven't found anything about this either.

**If it is just damage and not what I thought, sorry for posting again.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Looks to me like a combination of worn dies and over 40 years of circulation.
I'd release it back into the wild.

Based on your pics I would have to say DDD ( die deterioration doubling). JMO

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

    Classic machine doubling. And damage.
