I guess it is possible to find somewhat rare coins in your change or in coin rolls, found this one in a roll here in the Fort Worth area in Texas. My lucky day I guess.

Well you found one. I believe there are only a few known. Congratulations!

After seeing the thread I had to pull up the pics of mine. I definitely don't have the good one. Mine came from a mint set though, have they been found in those or are these more of a circulation find?

Thanks , I just really want it attributed , I'm a collector so I don't do a lot of selling but the longer I hold it hopefully the value goes up at least in better grades .

I have actually found two in the last 10 years . One is rough shape but the last one I found ( posted here ) was the nicer one and both were found in circulation rolls / change .

I'm not much on varieties to be honest, but an easy one to look for (and a hard one to find) has its attractiveness... :)

For those just starting out, research is everything and it is possible to find somewhat rare and scarce coins in your change if you know what you are looking for. Who knows what the value will be 10 to 15 years down the road when I start liquidating my collection.

Not all coins you find will be worth a lot but if your a collector then they are always worth something to me regardless of the dollar value.

That’s a crazy find! I hunt nickels too fast to ever find one I’m afraid.
