    I have noticed a lot of quarters with filled Ds. I never really thought much of it.

    Actually today I was looking through some change, and found many more, also filled "P"s -- so I guess it's pretty common

    Looks like a die chip inside the mint mark and it’s seen wear to be that smooth.

    Nope.. But on eBay you will see sellers scam new collectors into thinking they have some crazy high premium errors :facepalm::banghead:

    It's just a die deterioration issue aka worn die.

    That's why we have Cointalk. To teach newbies not to waste their money on crap.
