I am new to this site. I found a 1972-D quarter straight out of the Mint Packaging. On the reverse is some very distinct lines or breaks in the eagles wings. I posted a pic with those lines. They are not scratches and on the right side there is a bubble like line in the wing with another break line below it. On the left side the line is very defined and crosses over the wings lines. I looked it up on youtube and sure enough there is another one identical to this one. I am asking is this a variety or Die Clashes?
Most of us here on CoinTalk are not YouTube fans.. They show many videos with incorrect information. Don't trust them.
Well it was a guy who had found the same exact quarter 1972-D. and it had the exact markings I posted. I will try to post better pics. All I have is my iPhone right now..Thanks
And that means exactly what? Those guys can say whatever they want and make up thier own stuff on any coin.. Doesn't mean they are correct.
I just saw the video posted by TexCoin and I also saw your comment that you made for that video. I said before it couldn't be a Die Clash but reading another members response on that video made me think that it probably is a Die Clash of Washingtons Bust profile from the other side. It's really nothing major and I wouldn't call it a discovery error coin like TexCoin called it.
@Randy Rivers Here is the comment and the response from CoinTex.. You can read it yourself when you go back to the video!
