image.jpg image.jpg Hello to all again.....I've come across a 1972 D Roosevelt Dime that has the ME missing in the word Dime. The obverse side has a few flaws in the date...was this a common error back then? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Grease filled dies are pretty common.

Grease error. I've sold many of these over Ebay. I've made some nice profits off them. You have a really nice example. I'd try to ask $29.99 or best offer on this one. Crazy as it sounds someone might pay it! By the way I'm insomnious too, ;)

Might I ask do you recall where or how you acquired this coin? Did you go roll hunting?

That's very cool! Noticed that you also have taken a so much better photo too :) If you look at my avatar it appears to be a date of 200 on my dime. This appears to be the same thing that occurred to yours as the others say. Great catch!
