Welcome to Coin Talk. A 1971 Elizabeth new 2 pence is not a rare coin. they're being offered on ebay for less than $20.00.

The 1971 Two pence coin is very common. There has been a lot of false information going around about the value of the coins.

When i was stationed in the UK, these were very common, worth exactly two pence. I dont think that has changed.

5 Pence coins in the UK are like nickels in the US. Common, common, common. Is there a specific reason why you believe your coin would be worth significantly more than a common coin? Date? Error?
