I couldn't find any information online about pennies that have been misprinted in this specific way. The back with the Lincoln Memorial is printed normally, but the front is offset a little up and to the left. It is offset so much that the words "In God We Trust" are completely off the penny except for most of the word "Trust." Other than this mistake the penny seems to be normal. See pictures for better detail.
That is called a misaligned die and probably the most extreme I've personally seen. Normal MAD bring little to no value but this on the other hand would bring premium. Nice find.
Thank you all for your answers! I'm definitely going to keep it, I've had it for such a long time and I just got curious to see if it was worth anything.
As others have said, this is a misaligned die and normally they don't carry a premium. However, this is extreme for a MAD and may be worth a buck +/-. In any case, it is definitely and keeper
Ok I found a 1970 d penny that might be a dde but its weird its super thin half the thickness of a normal penny I was wondering what to make of it oh and if u look at close the copper looks like orange peel
