1970 d dime error?

    The dim on the back are missing and the other lettering and the front look weird.. Is this an error?? Thanks! :) image.jpeg

    Obverse pic is blurry. It can be a greased filled die, so when they strike the coin, where the grease is, those letters don't come out.
    If it's real it's an error and a keeper. Small value, but more than a dime.

    It looks real to me, and I agree with M.K's assessment.

    'Struck Thru Grease' is the usual culprit.

    That is really cool, nice coin. Usualy some of the missing letters can be see fainty.
    The DIM looks totally gone, I can faintly see the UN in Unum.
    Can you see any of the DIM "in hand"?
