    just a Misaligned Die Strike
False Double Rim is a common occurrence.
    Nothing Major.

Thank you for looking. May I ask what are the major errors I should be looking for other then dd. Like Iwas just looking at a dime that has little bits of raised metal on the torch and leaves. There just bumps of metal that others don't have. Are they gas bubbles.I've been looking for another example somewhere but can't find it. And there is no way my cam can see it

This is really the best I could get,the first set of leaves on the right, and you can see a little of it on the torch,on the bottom.it looks like pieces of solder but it's not.

Likely minor die chips from a worn die. Also look at the obverse face and hair for these also. No real additional value but they are interesting and collectible if you like them. You could also look for die clashes. Visit www.maddieclashes.com to get some good information.

I'll let others give you advice on cameras. I don't use mine for coins as I'm a more outdoor person with mine, never having figured how to use them for this type of photography. Both of mine are capable of macro but I hate to have to figure out how to reset everything for what I do use them for. And then there is the proper lighting, possible shadow box build, etc.

I don't bother looking for Doubled Dies. Those are considered Varieties. I only collect Mint Errors. I have hundreds of minor and major Mint Errors and only about 4 Doubled Dies.

I just read through it. So you look for clipped coins and others of that type?
