I was going through my collection of pennies and found one with the face of Lincoln and the face of someone else.Unfortunately, I cannot provide a picture of this penny. I've searched most of the web for this coin, but to no avail.
Obviously a photo would help. Odds are (almost 100%) it is a novelty piece with the second image stamped into the coin after it left the Mint. Any chance the second "face" is JFK?
yes the second face does have the appearance of JFK. Would this engraving of JFK give the penny and more rarity or is it just the same value as a regular 1967 penny?
Some added this to the coin, so it is really damaged. But many collect these. So who know how the price would be affected? http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/Alabama_Cent.jpg
I've found a picture if it helps any. http://www.workingmancoins.com/ForSale/Pics/TokNov/LinKenCent1974.jpg
It is a novelty. Worth 1 cent - maybe slightly more to someone who collects them. The coins were stamped (not engraved) with Kennedy's image and placed on a card that drew connections between Lincoln and Kennedy (e.g., both Lincoln's and Kennedy's VP were named Johnson, Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy and Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln, etc.)
