I found this penny and I'm not sure what to make of it it looks like it may have been done when it was made... what do you think?
No. Someone took a blunt object and struck it twice. The reverse shows the impact marks. That did not occur during the minting proccess. It is not a mint error
Clearly damage A punch or something as the reverse is punched out too A reverse die's surface would not allow those bulges if , say two ball bearings were on the obverse.
It could be a BB gun or a rifle. To be sure, we'd want to see a ballistics test on it, if it's not too much to ask...
