IMG_2208.jpg IMG_2210.jpg IMG_2208.jpg Ive been getting into collecting coins including pennies and while separating my massive amount of zinc pennies from my copper pennies, this one caught my eye and I want to get some opinions on this before I get too excited. Any help is appreciated! :) (sorry the pictures aren't too too good)

Looks like an oddly toned specimen. Nothing too special about it, but it's in nice shape for the year. The thing about toning is that it can add interest or be a distraction. A high grade coin with odd toning will not fetch the same interest/$$ as a coin with even toning.

Really cool coin. I'll say yes but I'm not the best guesser. Ask this guy @Jordan R. Only kidding.

Hi Jordan and welcome to Coin Talk. If you could take the coin out of the flip for a picture we will be better able to help. Larry

    Welcome to Coin Talk.
Nice coin, Possible Misaligned Die on obverse but not positive due to photo angle.
    What Heavymetal said about photos.

Can I ask where you think the error is? Plus we need closer pictures directly over the coin, not at an angle.

I don't see anything that would make it a mint error or a variety.

Much better pictures! Like @alurid said, maybe a slight Misaligned Die. Don't know what's happening around the date and LIBERTY. Maybe some type of die deterioration. Not a DDO.

I think your coin was struck with a misaligned die that may have been loose in its holder causing what is called Push Doubling. Most off us just call it Machine Doubling but there is several different type of MD. The planchet may have been resting on the edge of the collar die and rotated just a little as the hammer die push it into the collar. The doubling on your coin has a wider spread than most DDD coins and it shows a bit of rotation on front with doubling at the top of liberty and the Bottom of the date and Abe's chin. I think your coin is a striking error coin as there are three kinds of errors P,D & S which stand for Planchet error, Die error and Striking error.
It makes for a good example coin worth keeping.
