Is this a silver coin? Its imprinted with 6 1/4 gramos...if not silver is it worth anything?

Uncle Krause says 1967 was the first year of copper-nickel 25 centavos, so no, not silver. Also says BU supposed to cost $1.5, but I`m pretty sure a BU would fetch at least $3-5.

Beat me to it! I was literally typing it!
But it has a mintage of 5 million if that helps with anything

So I'm off by a year? Thank you for your feedback. I was confused with the 6 1/4 gramos being on the coin.

One of my favorite modern Latin American designs. A fun and affordable set to collect in 90% silver from the 1940s & 50s — 10 and 25 centavos, 1/2 peso and peso (pictured below).

The last silver release was at 1961.

If you can find any of the cu/ ni in Unc it would be wise to save them.

They are much more elusive in my experience than the silver issues.

I agree with you, Sir. Most of their silver quarters are in high grade. Like mine. At the same time: it's hard to find non-silver coins in high grade.
