Someone told you on the other thread you posted these same pics on, $3 at current spot prices.

You will find that if you ask the same question more than once, especially after receiving answers, that are accurate answers, you will not be taken seriously. Asking a question once should be sufficient.

Anything that shows that much wear is basically worth melt value...unless it's a coin that has a variety or error. Your pics don't show enough, as 1957 COULD be a Type B, but on a coin with that much wear, it wouldn't add much of a premium. You also might want to add reverse images, as a coin does have two sides.

I am new to the site. I asked on there because I ended up searching for if a 57 had value and it took me there. Then after I asked and BEFOREI got an answer I thought to myself maybe i should start my own thread about it so the experts dont overlook it since that thread hadnt been posted on for awhile. So dont take me seriously I dont really care all i was asking is for some advice and im new to this whole thing. Geez.

I just picked up this junked '57 this past weekend for $melt. What caught my eye was the Type 'B' Reverse. Here are a few places to look at the coin to see if it might have a slightly higher value then $3. Given the shape of both our coins- it probably isn't going to be much if you do have one.

A few things to check on the reverse of the coin:

-Spacing between the E and S in STATE S is slightly greater then a typical reverse
-Arrow tips are slightly below the leaf it touches
-The 'A' in DOLLAR touches the leaf closest to it

    Good Luck!
