Hi! My grndfather gave me three 1956 Lincoln Wheat Pennies with errors from some unsearched rolls he purchased forever ago and I was looking for some info. on them if anyone can help... The first is a 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny (D) on the front and the back has no stamp at all. It is just a smooth surface. The second is a 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny the front is normal but when you turn it over the back is completly upside down. The third is a 1956 Lincoln Wheat Penny and not only is the back upside down when you turn it over, but there are also 7 little dots stamped on it that push out Lincoln's face on the front. If pictures would be more helpful I can take some but I was just looking for an idea if they are rare or worth anything. Thank you!!
The last one was used for BB or pellet target practice. Damage. Only worth one cent. The other two have poor lighting and I can't see anything in them.
The 2nd is one that has been ground off. It couldn't happen in real minting as the 2 dies have to come together with the planchet in between. Like you can't clap your hands with just one and air. If you flip the 2nd cent head over vertically, the reverse should be up also. If you turn it over left to right horizontally, it will appear to be upside down. Normal orientation.
