I have this dime I acquired with a coin collection that appears to be partially clipped. The only problem is it seems "LIBERTY" and the edge of the rim have been squished inwards on the left side of the obverse. Any insights as to exactly what type of error this is, and possible value would be much appreciated.
I don't think it was squished with pliers, there's no damage whatsoever on the rim. I was thinking maybe it was melted.
I figured so, but seeing how I'm relatively new to collecting I like to double check on some coins I'm not sure about. Thanks for the replies.
I have a 1956 dime that the backside of it is backwards like a mirror image. How much if anything is it worth
Start a new thread.. Pictures are needed always. And the correct numismatic terminology is Doubled Die.. Not double die.
