1952 D Ben Franklin Half Dollar worth?

I found this laying around my Fathers in Laws junk drawer. Just wondering if it the type of thing that should have some better protection, or perhaps be kept in a safe of some sort. What do you think?

If it's yours now and that's all the coins you got, put it in your junk drawer. If it's in perfect condition, take it to your local coin store and have him look at it. Bad shape or perfect shape, you're still gonna have to keep your day job.
