1951 half penny and 1951 penny pair

Gday all, i have always collected coins randomlyvand only now understanding errors and proof coins blah blah can anyone give me any information on 1951 half penny and 1951 penny pl mint.please

Both were minted in 1951.. In Australia!

 

Both minted in 1951. They are stamped with pl which supposedly means minted in london.

Verdigris damage on at least one, maybe both.

 

Both PL but of no extra value, Cat value around $0.15 US.
In that condition I would put them in my scrap copper bin

 

What does that mean

 

Verdigris damage. Really. I understand zinc rot. But really Verdigris. Was it in a land slide or dropped for an airplane. Ouch

 

Corrosion. The green slime of death to a coin. Comes in several stages the first can sometimes be removed and the coin remain undamaged. The rest eat the surface of the coins and cause pitting.
