Hi I am new to the fourm, but i have been collecting for quite some time now. I just recently found a posible error on my 1950 D wheat penny. these pictures should tell the story. So any feedback would be great. (picture was taken with microscope so that is why it is backwards.) Thanks
If you want to spend $40 to encase a 50¢ coin. Even slabbed, it is still a 50¢ coin. From the looks of that, it is well worn.
If you are referring to the Mint Mark it is probably A Philadelphia Minted Cent.. they did not use a Mint Mark.
Unfortunately, as this is a necrothread, the OP has been gone for 4 years and likely isn't reading the new comments.
The worst of it is, I've a feeling this one was an unlisted RPM - Variety Vista doesn't have one like it and the MM looks plainly repunched.
I don't see any errors Also.. You should create your very own unique thread at the Error Coins section of CoinTalk. You will get better views and responses.
