1949-D Lincoln Wheat Cent Mint Error

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by Richland Numismatics, Jul 18, 2020.

  1. Hello all in the coin world! The other night I was browsing through some old wheat cents, and I happened to stumble upon this crazy looking thing... Can anyone tell me what type of mint error this may be and what coin it may be from??? It does NOT seem to be the edge of a dime or quarter etc. whatever has a reeded edge... This is clearly a mint error with no altercation post circulation!! Any information is useful! Coin is in mint state condition.

Your coin was previously encased in something like one of those "lucky penny" things. Your coin is just damaged.

As said. It was damaged when pressed into a lucky holder.
