Not sure this is in the right forum. Moderators please move if necessary.

New to collecting Canadian Cents and really know nothing about them. Anyways, I was looking through pile of Canadian Cents tonight and this was the only 1949 in the pile. The 2nd A in Gratia on obverse looks to be lined up with the denticle like the website pictures show. It does look different from the 1949's I have in my books as well.

    Link with Variety Pictures.

Is it what I think it is? Just looking for a confirmation on this.

    What do you think?

    Thanks...Mont.

Thank you that's what I wanted the confirmation on.

According to Coins and Canada this is a pretty desirable variety for this year.

Was this a transitional year where they changed the obverse? Is that how this variety happened?

@Rick Stachowski. If you look again The normal A for this year is A OFF the denticle the rare one for this year is the A to denticle. This one matches the A to Denticle Picture for the 1949 Cents.
