Good morning everyone I hope you guys have a very good day today! I got 1939 nickel. gosh I hope I’m right this time. But the words Monticello and five cents looks double die to me...is this ddr?
IMO, your coin is not a "Doubled Monticello" 1939 DDR. The doubling on a real 1939 DDR is so pronounced that it can easily be seen, even in the lower grades. The doubling of the final "O" is the pup as it has the biggest spread, and your coin doesn't show any doubling of the final "O". Here is another photo for comparison.
@Marites Foertsch Please take another clear photo of the reverse. Try and get the last several letters of MONTICELLO and CENTS. That's the easiest place to spot the doubling. Thanks
